I do what I please whenever I please simply because I want to do it and I can afford to do it any way I want.
Sometimes it works out, sometimes it does not. Don't whine for me, don't whine at me.
But you guys are cute. I wonder what you'll be like when you grow up.

For some of you this is a rare opportunity to laugh at my expense and I can appreciate how much this means for those. Equally some feel obligated to use this occasion as reinforcement of the common Eve rules of thumb. It is indeed such a time however do not think I don't know the "common wisdom".
As I tell many, there is a time to follow conventional wisdom and there are times not to follow it. I occasionally step away from the common herd and gamble on an individual. Sometimes it works out and I profit in more than just isk. Sometimes it does not and the loss is limited to just isk - at least on my part.
For my part: I only posted the results so as to help others avoid trusting someone who is not trustworthy.
Nothing more, nothing less. |

Thank you for your unwanted and unnecessary suggestion.
If I need someone to tell me something off topic that I may or may not have the time to do I'll call you. |

Don't be misled, I really am not a nice person on these forums or in life. That's not bragging or some badge of honor, just a plain truth.

Poison wrote:These people dont understand it takes a few min to make 150m and its our money to do with what we please. I agree with the second half: It is indeed ours to do with as we wish foolishly or not. However I still have a bit of respect for 100m isk.
I remember my thrill at making my first mil, then 10, then 100. Of course this was back in '03 when bounties were miserly (compared by today's standards) and the missioning side of the game just this side of non-existent. Of course you could also kill NPC convoys that dropped BPO's and Harvester Drones. Today, however, you can easily see a new player make their first million isk on the same day. But that first 100 million is still a milestone.
In fact I know many people whose wallets hover around 100 million. Seems to be a magic number for many. It is enough to get an l4 mission ship, if they are not wise enough to have one squirreled away. It is also enough seed money to get started in trading. Granted 1 billion isk is starting, from what I've seen, to become the new "casual" standard but 10 million was before 100 million replaced it. I presume 1 billion is because it is the next rational number in the minds of most and it can buy 2, maybe 1.8, plexes.
Starting last week I myself only had 42 million in available isk. Of course I've liquidated a fair bit of stuff, caught the market in a few nice upswings , but if I had not socked away stuffs I'd have probably had to mission for about 4 - 6 hours to make 150m. Okay, maybe 3 - 4. Hard to say.
But I'll never lose respect and wonder at 100m mark.
Be it my first or only 100m.

I have several good qualities but being "nice" is not one I have inherently. I do practice, alot, but suffering fools (of which Eve has many) is still one area I have yet to make any progress on.
PS: Here's a picture of me blessing a habitat home for the new owners. You'll need to be logged into FB as the photo is not mine or on my account. I am tagged in it however.
